Jim Lidback was kind enough to lend this video of Lake Crescent in the morning  to me . I think that it says it all, don't you?

Port Angeles is at the heart of the wilderness in every direction. We have mountains for skiing, boarding and hiking. Check out Hurricane Ridge. It has been referred to as the American Alps and for good reason. Watch the videos. You will see.

We have kayak and raft trips on rivers, ocean or lakes to offer. Or there is horse back riding or trips with pack horses for longer journeys into the untamed trails. There are beaches and hot springs for soaking. Sol duc Hot springs has a wonderful little resort with a restaurant and camping but the hiking is what I like. Sol duc Falls are worth a look. The old growth forests here are the stuff of fairytales.

Cycling and extreme outdoor sports are huge here. As well, the Sprint Boat Nationals are held here  twice yearly. That park is about 10 minutes from the Art House. The Falls and trailheads are between10 to 30 minutes depending.

Lake Cresent is one of my favorite places to hang out at, and the hiking is phenominal. There are short brilliant hikes to the Miramar Falls or if you like an extensive challenge, try the switchback trail up to Storm King It is a work out, but the view is worth the work!

I came across this site with a list of all of the waterfalls that the Peninsula seems to have.  I thought that I would share it with you here.
