"How Hard Can it Be?" she says....heheh "Um."

Updated: Sep 11, 2020

Well, apparently having a vacation suite can be a little more challenging than we had originally thought, but recently our challenges are due to Covid. At least that seems to be our only negative interaction with the universe so far regarding this business. So having been forced into a Stay-cation of sorts ourselves, here is what we have been doing....

We have been working on providing an art experience for our guests or experience seekers who are interested in learning to paint. So far our plan is to offer choices of painting in the studio or plein aire which is out in nature, with my husband John Rickenbacher. It can be catered with food made from recipes from Monet's own journals or not. If you are not interested in painting, we can set up learning DaDa making with myself, or book creation and binding or any number of art avenues (We know a few artists as this is a thriving art community.) What would you like to learn? I can probably hook you up.

Of course, we will wait to implement this new endeavor until the beginning of 2021 as we are hoping that the Covid Crisis will be either over or we will have a firm plan in place and life will get back on track, if not back to normal. If it is not "normal" at least it will be moving into the "new normal" with the expectation that we will move forward in our day to day doings.

Either way, I encourage you to find a way to express your life, whether that is with art or exercise or a hobby or outreach of some kind. Life is in the living....so let's live it in whatever way that we can. With every crisis, there is opportunity. Opportunity for growth, to learn to reach for something new, to shed un-needed things thoughts and pursuits which we have been harboring. I know I am getting a little preachy but listen, life is too short not to say the things that matter. Get after it! Make this time count. When I look back at this time that I thought I would be using to build my growing business, I don't want to be disappointed that I didn't utilize this universal pause. We can still build and grow and prepare for the coming year. It will allow us to be better prepared and able to provide a richer experience for the travelers who choose to spend their time in our areas. I say hone your skills! Tomorrow will arrive sooner than we think. And then when the pause button has finally been averted, come see us. Let's play!
